Tokyo Seimitsu Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, the Company) has established a Code of Conduct and strives to protect and maintain personal information as necessary and appropriately based on the recognition that the protection and appropriate management of personal information is a social responsibility of the Company.

1. Conforming to laws and regulations and review of the Code

With respect to the collection, utilization, and provision of personal information handled as part of its business, the Company conforms to all laws and regulations, guidelines, and other rules prescribed by the Government to ensure that such information is handled in an appropriate manner.
The Company endeavors to make continuous improvements in the handling of personal information and constantly reviews the Code of Conduct as appropriate for purposes of improvement.

In addition, individual numbers and specific personal information as specified under the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures shall be handled in accordance with the Code of Conduct for the Protection of Specific Personal Information, separately established.

2. Acquisition and utilization of personal information

The Company acquires personal information through appropriate and fair means and uses such information solely within the scope of the purpose of use. If the Company intends to use personal information beyond the scope of the purpose of use, it will specify the extended purpose each time said information is so used, and in the case of any changes thereto, it will notify the person in question of the changes or publicly announce said changes.

3. Purpose of use of personal information

4. Joint use of personal information

The Company may jointly use personal information with its Group companies within the above-mentioned scope of the purpose of use, as follows:

Address, name, phone number, age, gender, email address, and other attribute information and contents of information provided, queries, etc.

5. Safety management measures

The Company shall strictly manage personal information, regard the safety of personal information seriously, and take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent unauthorized access to, loss or destruction of, damage to, and/or falsification, leakage, etc. of personal information and to ensure other safe management of personal information. In addition, the Company will strive to maintain personal information such that it is accurate and up-to-date to the extent necessary to satisfy the content of “3. Purpose of use of personal information,” above.

The Company will also continually review and strive to improve the management of personal information.

6. Provision of personal information to a third party

Unless provided by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations, the Company shall not provide personal information to any third party without obtaining prior consent from the owner of said information.

7. Outsourcing the management of personal information

If the Company outsources the handling of personal information, either wholly or partly, to a third party, the Company shall conduct a strict investigation of the third party in question and shall supervise them as necessary and appropriately to ensure the safe management of the personal information.

8. Response to requests for disclosure, correction, etc.

If the Company is requested by a person to notify him/her of or disclose the purpose of use of personal information in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations, or is requested by a person to correct, make addition to, delete, stop the use of or stop the provision to third parties of his/her personal information or receives other objections, complaints, etc. from him/her on the grounds that his/her personal information is inaccurate, handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use publicly announced in advance, obtained by illegal means, or due to other reasonable grounds, the Company shall check whether the request is truly made by the person in question before responding to him/her within reasonable scope. However, this does not apply in the case that the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or any other laws and regulations do not oblige the Company to disclose personal information or otherwise treat it according to requests.

The Company clearly defines the regulations concerning the handling of personal information and strives to communicate the regulations to executive officers and employees to ensure that they fully understand the regulations and handle personal information in an appropriate manner.

Tokyo Seimitsu Co. Ltd. (hereinafter, the Company) appropriately handles specific personal information, etc. in accordance with the following Code of Conduct.
