Sales of PRISMO Navigator Series Commence

Tokyo Seimitsu Co., Ltd. (Chairman & CEO: Hideo Ohtsubo) has begun selling the PRISMO Navigator, a new series of 3D Coordinate Measuring Machine made by the Carl Zeiss Company.

The PRISMO Navigator is the successor to the popular PRISMO Series 3D coordinate measuring machine, and enables scanning measurement to be performed with even higher precision and speed.

The PRISMO Navigator incorporates the Navigator system. This system performs real-time compensation for deformation of the stylus and measuring machine due to the changing forces (acceleration) caused by movement during measuring, in addition to the various compensation features of the PRISMO system (including compensation for straightness, squareness and stylus deflection of each axis). This dramatically enhances the accuracy of high-speed scanning measurements and substantially reduces the measuring time. In fact, measuring efficiency has been increased by as much as 76% compared to the previous system, and by more than 30% on average.

Furthermore, the addition of the multi-probe system (MPS-V) enables a variety of probes to be easily changed, simplifying the measuring of complicated workpieces.
