Sales of RONDCOM 54/44 Commence High-Precision, High-Rigidity Compact Roundness/Cylindrical Profile Measuring Instruments

Tokyo Seimitsu Co., Ltd. (Chairman & CEO: Hideo Ohtsubo) has begun selling the RONDCOM 54/44, its newly developed compact high-precision compact roundness/cylindrical profile measuring instruments.

CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) analysis has been utilized for the RONDCOM 54/44 to boost mechanical rigidity, providing the highest rotation accuracy in the world for this class (0.02+ 4H/10000µm).
Two types can be selected according to the individual requirements of customers: the DX (all-in-one) type integrating the measuring unit and computer components to minimize space requirements; and SD (separate) type.

Features of RONDCOM 54/44

  1. World's No. 1 straightness, rotation and parallelness accuracy in this class.
  2. Manual RONDCOM44 can be upgraded to RONDCOM54 featuring CNC control. This is the first machine of its type in the world that can be upgraded on site, allowing the RONDCOM44 to be initially purchased, and the CNC feature to be added when necessary.
  3. The tip of the stylus is offset from the R axis arm by the newly developed offset type sensor holder. This enables the unit to be used for the measuring of connecting rods and deep holes in cylinder blocks for air conditioners and other flanged workpieces.
  4. A newly developed wide-range board enables a wide range of high-resolution measurements to be made without changing the measuring range. This dramatically reduces the time to one-fifth required for centering and tilting on the manual unit.
