Launch the sales of "SURFCOM 2000DX", Surface Texture and Contour Measuring Instrument
Tokyo Seimitsu Co., Ltd. (Chairman & CEO: Hideo Ohtsubo) is delighted to announce the commencement of sales of its SUFCOM 2000DX Surface Texture and Contour Measuring Instrument - capable of simultaneously measuring surface roughness and contour profile.
This advance instrument adopts a newly developed sensor and linear drive motor to achieve significant improvements in performance.
The linear motor drive unit facilitates high-speed and low-vibration measurements. Combined with a newly developed compact sensor designed for a wide range of measurements, this instrument enables evaluation and analysis of surface roughness and contour profile in a single operation. This substantially reduces the amount of time utilized for setup and boosts throughput, allowing production costs to be further decreased while providing high level performance.
Furthermore, this model features superior expandability enabling 3D measurements by adding the SURFCOM 3DR three-dimensional analysis system, and it is also usable as a dedicated surface roughness pick-up sensor or a dedicated contour profile sensor by simply adding or changing units.
Like the SURFCOM 1500 series and CONTOURECORD 1700 series, the SURFCOM 2000DX incorporates a linear motor for the drive unit, featuring a simple non-contact drive structure (without a drive screw or gear box) for an absolute minimum of vibration and stable operation for many years. An extremely fast movement speed of 60 mm/sec. dramatically enhances the efficiency of measurement operations.
In addition, the newly developed sensor featured with this unit can be added to or used in combination with the popular SURFCOM 1500 series or CONTOURECORD 1700 series, as released last year.
