Introducing "XYZAX SVA Fusion", first Japanese CNC 3D Coordinate Measuring Machine assuring high scanning accuracy
TOKYO SEIMITSU CO., LTD. (Hideo Ohtsubo, Chairman & C.E.O) will begin sales of the "XYZAX SVA Fusion", a new model CNC 3D Coordinate Measuring Machine. The machine can be seen in action at INTERMOLD 2004 - The 15th Japan International Die & Mold Manufacturing Technology Exhibition (from April 21 to24).
The most commonly used coordinate measuring machines in Japan employ a point measuring method. While offering a high degree of accuracy suitable for many applications, this process is typically time consuming for measuring, alignment and tabulation. Also, across the vastly varying industries related to automobile parts, molds and electronic appliances there is growing demand for higher precision and higher efficiency in components measurement.
The new "XYZAX SVA fusion" meets this demand by bringing state of the art electronic scanning technology from Carl Ziess to the Tokyo Seimitsu SVA measuring machine series. The Carl Ziess scanning probe series, known as "VAST-xt", is the world's only high precision active scanning method. It takes a continuous surface measurement using electro-magnetism, rather than a spring system, to control probe pressure and therefore measuring accuracy. A single machine can do all measuring, profile measurement and alignment for a huge range of object shapes.
Moreover, the Fusion machine has installed a 300mm stylus. This is the longest stylus available in Japan and a first to assure high scanning accuracy by Japanese manufacturer, adding considerably to the range of components that can be measured using the new scanning method. Together, these features will rank the "XYZAX SVA Fusion" among the world's highest performing 3D Coordinate Measuring Machines.
Main features
- Uses world's only high precision active scanning method ? the VAST-xt probe by Carl Zeiss ? to create a machine applicable for all measuring, profile measurement and alignment with dramatically shortened time and increased accuracy.
- Introduces 300mm stylus, allowing measurement of objects in a range up to 10 times the current standard (standard stylus is 30mm). Hence has an increased range of applications for various types of objects in areas such as automobile parts, molds, and electronic appliances.
- Complies with new JIS standards MPE_THP to standardize scanning precision of 3D Coordinate Measuring Machines. This is the first assurance of scanning accuracy using a 300mm stylus in Japan.
- Optional, standard technology, articulating probe is available to allow alternative measuring methodology, giving users ultimate flexibility in applications.
Tokyo Seimitsu/ACCRETECH exhibited the "XYZAX SVA" series at JIMTOF2002 on October 30, 2002 and began sales as per our press release of April 10, 2003. Since then, our SVA series has enjoyed an excellent reputation and feedback from large numbers of our customers. We are proud to now add "XYZAX SVA Fusion" to this commended series to meet further wide-ranging and specialist measuring needs of our Japanese customers.
