TOKYO SEIMITSU Gains Texas Instruments Inc. "Supplier Excellence Award"
On June 24th, in a ceremony at TOKYO SEIMITSU Co., Ltd. (Hideo Ohtsubo, Chairman & CEO) was awarded the 2002 Supplier Excellence Award from Texas Instruments Incorporated (Rob Simpson, Vice President, World Wide Purchasing & Logistics).
The award honors firms whose dedication and commitment in supplying products and services meet Texas Instruments' high standards for excellence. Recipients are an elite group of suppliers chosen for their exemplary performance in the areas of Cost, Environmental Responsibility, Technology, Responsiveness, Assurance of Supply, and Quality (CETRAQ). This year, among the total of 31,000 suppliers, only 29 companies were acknowledged.
"It is an honor to be presenting the SEA award to TOKYO SEIMITSU today. It is a very difficult award to achieve once let alone 4 times over the last 8 years. This is certainly a very honorable achievement that has been accomplished through dedication & commitment of TOKYO SEIMITSU to Texas Instruments during our long standing relationship", commented Rob Simpson in his opening statements. Mr. Simpson also pointed out the key reasons the award was given; "TOKYO SEIMITSU has gone above and beyond the typical supplier when it comes to supporting the needs of Texas Instruments. Through providing key strategies to meet our rapidly changing needs, low cost of ownership & leading edge technology to help us stay competitive in our respective markets and support for our external manufacturing operations abroad.
