Tokyo Seimitsu Begins Sales of SURFCOM 1500DX (Surface Texture Measuring Instrument) with New Linear Motor Realizing World’s Fastest Speed
Tokyo Seimitsu Co., Ltd. (Hideo Ohtsubo, Chairman & C.E.O.) has begun sales of its new Surface Texture Measuring Instrument SURFCOM 1500DX. This machine incorporates our new Linear Motor (Patent Pending) to achieve higher measuring speed and significantly reduce vibration.
The new linear motor SURFCOM 1500DX achieves contact-free drive and has a simplified structure (without feed screws and gearbox) so it generates less vibration giving stable performance over long periods. With a movement speed of 60mm, its measurement speed has now improved 5-10 times over our conventional products. This places this machine at the forefront in its field.
Moreover, with our newly developed compact detector applicable to high magnification and wide range measurement, SURFCOM 1500DX enables measurement up to 1000 ? m, measuring magnification of half a million times. Further efficiency benefits for users arise from reduction of the machine's footprint to 25% less than previous models.
As part of our comprehensive and versatile SURFCOM series, this 2-D Texture Measuring Instrument can be easily upgraded to 3-D Texture Measuring Instrument SURFCOM 1500DX-3DF or the Integrated Surface and Contour Measuring Instrument only by adding units.
A variety of measuring high level assist functions are incorporated including our AI functions for automatic measuring conditions selection, and teaching function for automated measurement from multiple locations and the generation of inspection reports. SURFCOM 1500DX is the latest in our Surface Texture Measuring Instrument series and is able to serve a wide variety of customer needs and enhance customer productivity.
