Tokyo Seimitsu Co., Ltd. concluded a cooperation agreement with HCT SHAPING SYSTEM SA (Head office located in Switzerland; HCT hereinafter) for wire-saws as of July 7, '99. Under this Agreement, Tokyo Seimitsu will start sales and after-sales services of HCT wire-saws and associated equipment to domestic (Japanese) users and their affiliates in Asian countries.

With this cooperation, Tokyo Seimitsu discontinues the production of similar equipment at the subsidiary Tokyo Seimitsu Engineering (the production transferred in the last April), and concentrates on sales of the HCT products.

Objectives of the cooperation

• The common objective of this cooperation is "efficient development of wiresaws and associated equipment with rational use of maintenance cost to provide highly competitive products to the market".
• HCT will be able to increase sales volume and increase their market share in Japan by utilizing the Tokyo Seimitsu sales and servicing network.
